Why is it only US narrators that don’t even try to get any accent apart from the American variations under their belts? And if they can’t be bothered, at least change the characters origin to being from Ohio or somewhere. He seems to think rolling his ‘R’s is the key but to anyone from the uk, let alone Scotland it’s appalling.

The narrator’s attempt to affect a Scottish accent ate so incredibly bad it brings the whole thing down. This character crops up enough to have warranted at least a stab at getting it right. It is such a shame!!! That an otherwise really good and reliable narrator (and I’ve known Jeff Harding so the exact same thing - although his accents are amazing now so he must have worked hard to improve them) can’t be arsed (quite frankly) to bother to even get close to a Scottish accent.
